First of all, you are describing a beautiful combination of fair skin and lovely hair! You need to wear sunscreen EVERY DAY no matter what the weather is. If you don't the wrinkles will show up early for you. If you would like to look tan, go and purchase some of the lotions that will make you look tan and not give you skin cancer later on.

i have auburn hair and pale skin, i usually burn lobsterish! peel then im white again lol!

Aloe Vera is good for sun burn.

to keep a sun tan with pale skin like ours, it needs to be gradually worked up on, start off with a high factor sun protector and get lower and lower every week or so.

OH theres a moisturising cream that tans you skin, i think its vaseline...not to sure, on the adverts! that seems pretty good and does two jobs in one ;oP

If seems like you need to use sun screen year around. It won't stay red, but only time will tell if you are going to look tan. I would be very careful of burns.

Red heads usually just sizzle and then peel unfotunately. I doubt if you'll go brown. It depends how badly you're burned as to how long it will take to go. But, give it a week and I bet it's hardly there.

I've found that with Simple Suncare you can use a high factor yet still tan through it. If you burn though pure Lavender esential oil is brilliant.
