You need to insert a header.

I'm assuming you don't have Word 2007 so here goes...

You need to make a Header. Before you do this, do you want the header to appear on the first page? If not then go to File (from the main menu) and select Page setup, then select the Layout tab. Click on the Different First Page box and click on OK. Continue with the rest of the instructions below.

If you do want the header to appear on the first page ignore the previous paragraph and continue with the rest of the instructions below.

Click on View (from the main menu) and select Header and Footer. Notice the toolbar that pops up?

Type your name and the word Page (if you want it) and when you are ready to enter the page number click on the # symbol on the toolbar that popped up. If you need to adjust the font type/size just click on the page number that got inserted and adjust the font size/type accordingly.

If you want to adjust the start page number then click on the format page number icon on the toolbar that popped up (the # with the hand on it) and change the start number.

Hope this help.

Go to Insert > Page Numbers...

Tell it to put the number in the top right corner.

Then, double-click the header area and you can add additional text on the same line as the line number. The header will print on every page.

Go to "View" and then "Header/Footer".

Just type your name at the top and then use the auto-format buttons to insert "-Page-", etc.
