I am a volunteer fireman.
Go to your local station and say "I'm thinking about being a volunteer fireman".
Then prepare for the most rewarding thing you've ever done.

Usually towns not city's have volunteer firefighter and if you know somebody you usually just ask and they will set it up for you to become one. But you have to go thru all the training of a regular firefighter does. I believe you dont have to take a state test to become one either.

Stop by the fire station and ask. Some require training, some don't, etc.

Check with any fire station. They should be able to tell you who to see.
