There are a ton of nice names out there but can I make a few suggestions...no made up names....no rhyming names...no names of famous duos (Romeo and Juliet etc)...no names that sound stupid with your last name...no name that is normally not used (the nickname is) unless you like that nickname. Don't name the boy after his father and the girl after you. I've seen some horrible choices that people thought were sooo cute- remember the kid has to live with the name his entire life. For example:
Stanley Stanley
Candus Cane - Candy Cane
Merry Christmas
Peter Rabitt
Cinderella Hu
to name just a few...I'm sure we've all heard of one or two
Some nice fresh ones are: Jayden , Rogan, Lucas, Perry,
Alex, Maximillian, Brady, Brody
traditional names: Matthew, Christopher, Christian, Kevin, Nicholas, Aiden, Jacob
or: Brianna, Emily, Emma, Rose, Lexi, Gabriella, Michaela,
Danielle, Rory, MacKenzie, Kelsey
Traditional: Ann, Catherine, Beth, Megan, Molly
There are books that are sold listing all the names you could ever think of.

Naming twins, they are a couple of ways
1. Matching names
Hayley and Bailey
Nicolas and Nicole
I would not do that
2. Naming the child with the same first letter. Some people name their whole family like this
Mitchell and Marie
Connor and Catherine
Evan and Elizabeth
Joel and Jessica
3. Names that have something in common
River and Skylar
Dallas and Savannah
4. A and B names
Arron and Bianca
Bryce and Aimee
5. Names that have nothing in common
Peyton and Emily
Trevor and Paxton
Riley and Cheyenne
Patrick and Aimee
Have fun naming your twins
Congratulations

You have the oppurtunity to use your favorite names that you have always thought of using. Keep in mind when you decide your names that they are individual people who just happen to be born at the same time. If you were planning on naming all your kids with similar names then think about that when you name your twins. My twin boys have completly different names and I still call them by the wrong name. It might be cute to give them rhyming names now but think about once they go to school.

I personally think you should stay away from names that are pretty much the same thing (Daniel and Danielle) and names that would mean any shortened version would be the same (Christopher and Christina).
I like similar names (like Sam and Sarah), but why do they have to be the same at all?
I have twin cousins whose initials are the same, but their names are very different. One even goes by his middle name (so Jacob Austin and Jeremy Alexander become "Jake and Alex").
My sisters and I kind of inadvertantly gave all of our children the same ending of a name, so we have a Cameron, Colin, Daylen, Ashlyn and Landon. Our names are Amanda, Rebecca and Jessica (purposely all ending in "a").
The names can be similar, but your twins are going to have a hard enough time distinguishing themselves, even if they are fraternal twins. Let them start out with their own name, at least.

i wouldn't suggest rhyming names or names that sound too much alike..its cute for pets but not for people...
you're lucky to be having a girl and aboy because now you can pick your favorite name for each! What have you always wished your name was? you could ask your husband/bf/baby's father the same question, and then maybe give your kids those names!
I've always liked Ana and Elizabeth for a girl
And for a boy I have always liked Aidan.

What ever you do don't give them rhyming names,I know a set of twins named Gary and Cary, and that's just horrible. My children are named Devin(boy) and Kiley Ella(girl) so they are my favorite names.I also like the names Alex for a boy and Rayna for a girl!!

I work in Labor & Delivery, and have seen many sets of twins. They will be lumped together their whole lives, so please, please, don't make it worse for them by naming them matching names!!!!
Do what everyone else does--you and the dad make a list of your favorite names, then work it out from there just like you didn't know the sex of the baby, but the good thing for you is, you get to use both your favorite girl's name and boy's name!

We weren't trying to match names when we named our twin boys Walker and Wyatt. They were names we liked and we went with them. I wouldn't do rhyming names. Way too confusing, trust me, Walker and Wyatt are hard enough to keep straight.
