it depends on the contezt....4 example:
las viviendas comunitarias - the comunitary residences/houses
las viviendas del norte- the north residences
credito para comprar vivienda (vivienda stands for singular) - credit borrowed to buy your home.

I think una vivienda is a flat. so un bloque de viviendas is a block of flats and so on.

Viviendas means with (lugas)housing, with (morada) dwelling, and with (casa) it means house. I recently learned this in school GOOD LUCK!!!!!
