a guy friend of mine told me, that the only reason that guys let girls win, when they have a disagreement, is because they want to avoid the arguement, and make the girl happy. is that true?

That depends on the situation, however, a lot of the time that is the truth. We try to avoid confrontation with yall gals, the old saying about arguing with a woman, "Dont try, you cant win", is unfortunatly the truth. Especially when the guy IS wrong, LOL. Its a man thing, a male ego thing. Another reason for that is, well, i think you know what that is, we want to keep yall happy, dont want anything to ruin our, well, sexual status with yall, LOL LOL. You gals have what we need, and you know what that is, right? We want to keep that as smooth sailing as possible, if you know what I mean, no time in the dog house. Thats where your control over us comes in play, and I think you know that too, being a woman. But yeah, we really try not to argue too much, keep the ruckus down in the home and make yall as happy as possible. Now, thats not to say that when yall do wrong, that we will NOT speak up, because we will and we will point out the indiscretion you have made, but even then, yall have a way to keep the disagreement going to your advantage, thats for sure. Thats just what we as couples do. Good luck.

If I am right in a disagreement I do not let the girl win, unless it is something silly, like deciding on a movie. Or if it is opinion based it is very important to realize that people can have different opinions.
If a matter really is trivial then usually I let my girl have her way, just because I like to make her happy, not to avoid the confrontation.
Some guys may be "yes-men" and just agree with everything their significant other says, but I believe this to be counterproductive in a relationship.

Not always.Depends on the situation.If you are married or in a serious relationship.I am a man of integrity,therefore I do not bend when it comes to disagreements.As human beings we are not gonna agree on evrything anyway.So if he says that I would question his integrity.
On saying that though.I would have to know what the disagreement was.Because yes some things you simply let the woman win to save face.As well as the man.If it is not important.I would say then who cares.If it is important and he lets you win.You got em whooped girl.
Sometimes if it saves an arguement it is worth letting the other win

Some people don't like confrontation, therefore they'll "give in" to the other person just to avoid a fight. It's true some people (guys and gals) do that...others will argue for the sake of arguing and not give in even when presented with proof that they are wrong.

Most of the time. A guy will determine the weight of the argument. If it's not a big deal then, she can win. If it's something important he'll fight harder and risk the consequences.

depends on the guy and the argument, guys tend to pick their battles, if it's a minor problem we will probably let it go just to keep our significant other happy, on the other hand, if I KNOW I'm right and it's a bigger concern, watch out!

a lot of times unless in the rare case the guy is the irrational one and he is not avoiding he is giving up bc he lost
