My cats all have their quirks, Scribbles likes to have her perch interior the window and the blinds might desire to be open purely sufficient or she would be able to bat at them till between the slats falls out as a manner to verify out the window. Willy will sleep on my mattress all day if I permit him and the pillows might desire to be stacked a definite way, in the event that they are actually not then as quickly as I get domicile he will have carried out it himself which oftentimes consequences interior the pillow circumstances being thoroughly removed from the pillows and all of the pillows are mashed up between the headboard and the wall. i've got no longer a clue how he manages this. Then there is Missy, she would be able to artwork for hours getting the muddle interior the muddle packing containers rearranged to her liking and then while one among the different cats makes use of the muddle container she has to determine the wear and tear and bury any grants. for specific my kitties stay very busy.

Some states do not allow declawing. It would be better to try to train her by squirting her with a water gun or air gun when she is on the prowl in your home. The idea of putting tape in places is excellent... he is right, cats will not like anything sticking to her feet... and do get the apple bitter. Also, does she have enough play time to tire her out? Does she have a scratching post scented with cat nip? Good luck; I too have been frustrated by both my dogs and cats. They take much patience and perserverance, but they are part of the family. Go to your local pet supply store... they will also give you more ideas.

make little inside out circles of tape and place them around where she likes to claw and stuff. Cats HATE things sticking to their feet so she'll learn not to go to those places in a short time. You can even put them on the couch where she is clawing.

Get soft paws for her claws and the apple bitter. Also, spray her with canned air or a squirt bottle when she is doing something she doesn't want her to do.

when i first got my kitties, i got them declawed. it's like getting your wisdom teeth removed...it just takes a few days to heal and the stitches dissolve on their own. it's pretty routine. if you are unsure about it, i would go to the vet and just discuss it with them, and they will tell you all you need to know about the procedure. my kitties are perfectly fine and so are their paws, and better yet my house is in one piece.

you might want to talk to the vet about getting her completely declawed. it sounds horrible, but I've been told that it often changes the personality of the cat (as does getting cats spayed/neutered).
