Dog are pack animals and this is normal behaviour for your dog, Does your dog spend most time with her because your daughter may be the leader of the pack in your dogs eyes

Our dog goes ballistic when our son gets home! He's their favorite playmate. On the other hand, is it excited barking or angry barking? If its angry barking, you might be dealing with a jealousy issue or perhaps your daughter is too rough with the dog so maybe the dog really doesn't like her? That might be the case if its a small dog, many small breeds don't care for kids because they run around accidently step on the dogs.

It depends on how loud and often it barks and what it does when it barks. If it wags its tail, that means he likes your daughter and wants to play with her. If the barking is loud, constant and aggressive, it may mean it doesn't like her for some reason.

I think it's the dogs way of saying "don't leave me,where are you going?",try reasuring the dog she's not going to be long,she'll be back,also think it's the dogs way of being protective toward the child.

my dog barks when anyone comes home!! is it just when you daughter comes out, maybe he/she is just excited~
