Usually they are 2-3 months before the wedding but you dont want to go less than one month before hand.

Usually you'll host the Bridal Shower within a month of the wedding but it all depends on whats good for everyone these days.
If alot of people are coming in from out of town you might have to plan months ahead to get a long weekend or do it just a day or two before the wedding.
My experience has been about 2 weeks before though.

3 weeks to 6 months, depending on the date of the wedding and also how long the couple has been engaged. If they have been engaged for over a year I would say between May and early June. Less than a year, Early June and end of July

I got married in the month of August seven years ago and I had a shower in June and July.

normally 3-5 weeks is the best time. you dont want to wait to close to the wedding because there are a lot of exspenses for bridemaids so thats why they hold it before

You can do it whenever you like usually most people do it two or three months in advance. Find out from the bride what is convienient for her since she will probably be getting busier as the day nears.

if she knows about it i'd do it a month before, if not and it's a surprise her nice and early, she'll be so frazzled right before the wedding

I would say at least 2 months before if you want to surprise her. If you do it too close she'll know it coming.

late june, early july....mine were all about 4-6 weeks before and it has worked for me, plenty of time to get thank yous done, and lots of time to move it all in!

About six weeks to a month before - no closer.
