i am trying to get files that end in .cbr to work on my mac. it tries to open it in iphoto (the files are a comic book) anyone know if i have to download a program or anything that might help??? thanks.

Change the extention to .rar and use unrarx to unarchive them. Then you can use iPhoto, Preview, or whatever image viewer you want to view them. If you select multiple images to open in Preview, they'll all show up in order in the drawer, so that would probably work quite well for comics. You could use your arrow keys to navigate through them.
