So that you can relate with cultures other then your own. Also if you know more then one language you have advantages over alot of people when it comes to getting jobs because some of the customers dont speak very good english. I took spanish 4 years and it makes me feel good to know im the only one out of all of my friends that can understand what the hispanic culture is saying in a crowd. It helped me get pretty good jobs. It just makes you a well rounded individual.

So You Don't Go Around Abusing Your Own And Gain Respect For Other Cultures. As Well As Be A More Diverse Individual.

Well, you gain a respect for other cultures and your own. Also, if you live in an ethnically diverse place, you can help others and understand what they are saying to you. I live in southeastern NC and we have a lot of Hispanic immigrants, so i have a minor in Spanish. It helps me a lot at my job!

So you can do homework for people on Yahoo Answers and get points and what the points are for? Who knows.
