It worked for my anxiety and it really helps me fall asleep. Before I was abusing benadryl so this is def better. It also helped with my depressive side but I have noticed the effects have been wearing off and i need more.

I was on Neurontin (and Lamictal) for a long time. I reached a point where I got lost in my own town, was confused, and didn't know when I made a mistake. It took a long time to get off of both meds and things are better now. Just don't take the two together.

I took Neurontin briefly but had so many side effects I had to switch to another drug called Trileptal. They are the same type of drug, but I didn't experience any real problems with the Trileptal. On Neurontin I was tired, dizzy, I couldn't think clearly or concentrate, I was confused and I was like a zombie. I am not sure what you mean by getting high (I have never been high), but if what I described is what you are experiencing, there are other options available to you. For many people these side effects go away with time, but mine only got worse. On Trileptal, I had very few side effects and they went away quickly. I took it for many years and eventually weaned myself off of it (you should never stop these drugs quickly). Talk to your doctor if the side effects are troublesome because it is not the only drug that will help you. Best wishes.

What are you on it for? I was told it is for nerve damage or seizure control? And that it can make you tired. But you say it makes you high? I was going to get some for nerve damage in my feet but chose not to.

Have you tried searching the internet for possible side effects?
