Is there an appropriate way to hang wallpaper border with gabled ceilings?

i assume its a case of......to each and each their very very own. i'm a paint dept supervisor at an extremely large abode progression warehouse...yet previously I became a supervisor I worked interior the abode decor portion of the save. when i hung my wallpaper border the walls toward the ceiling was terible so instead of permanetly putting it on the wall i hung my borders up with thumb tacks i bought white and gold ones to mach the colors and my walls look great
