I tried this but it didn't work either so I downloaded "DVD SHRINK" and its counterpart "DVD DECRYTER"
Just type dvdshrink into your browser and you will get the link for the download!
Once you have these you can then run your dvd's through to make back up copies by putting them through the decrypter 1st and then the Shrink to create an ISO file which can them be burned to a disc by using NERO version 6 or greater!
Hope this helps!
By the Way both of these downloads are free!!

give more info. what file type is it in? if its in a .rar or .tar you have to use winrar to extract it. If its .avi, .mpg or something like that, it may be because you dont have all the needed codecs installed. Download the divx codec pack from the divx website. Of course, there is always the chance that it is a corrupt file anyway. if it is in a .bin and.cue file, you need to mount it in an emulator such as daemon tools.

if it's zipped up (shows a little zipper on the folder) then right click and click "extract all" pick a place and there ya go.

i dunno.. you have to give more detail, like.. what have you tried, what does it do? what's the file look like, what os are you using (windows/linux/apple/etc.)
