my dog was special because he was one of a kind, he was an accidental breeding between a lab and a grayhound and the only puppy born. he lived for ten years and was very smart, at 6 months old he opened doors, could choose between different colored balls and was pure white except for his eyes and nose. and to this day the people where i live are afraid of what the indians called the ghost dog.

I have two Rhodesian Ridgebacks with perfect ridges. They are very unique breed and very special to me. Read on about it... The Ridgeback's distinguishing feature is the ridge which it is born with a ridge of hair along its back running in the opposite direction to the rest of its coat. (and does not "grow in later" no matter what some of those "back yard" breeder will try to tell you). It consists of a fan-like area formed by two whorls of hair (called "crowns") and tapers from immediately behind the shoulders, down to the level of the hips. The ridge is thought to be derived from the ridged hunting dog of the Khoikhoi (literally, "men of men"; native South African people, referred to by the Europeans as Hottentots). Some Ridgebacks are born without ridges, and until recently, most ridgeless puppies were culled, or euthanized, at birth. Today, many breeders opt instead to spay and neuter these offspring to ensure they will not be bred as the still make wonderful companions as pets.

Our dogs are special because they all have wonderful personalities and are loving.
As far as tricks go...One can "high five", one can walk on her hind legs, one can catch a ball no matter how bad I throw it and all three of them give unconditional love.
Oh, they also have gotten me into better shape than I was.
They need their walks and now, I have no excuses not to get out there and get some exercise.

Our dogs are special to us as we saved them from dying (adopted from the shelter) They were throw away dogs. they are so loving and fun. When younger would wear us out playing. One loves to play football with a tennis ball. They ride over our large acerage in a golf cart. it is quite funny at times to see them sitting beside my husband as they tool around the countryside.

My dog stretches his hind legs out and crawls around on the floor, which has earned him the nickname G.I. Joe. Of course, he's special for a ton of other reasons, too.

My dog is special, because because she is just the most sweetest thing. She wakes me up every morning with tons of kisses, and loves to cuddle on my lap when we watch movies.

my dog is a black lab that will not do any dog things:I was told he was untrainable and I know he overheard because he gets a devil dog look about him and goes into spaz mode whenever I even suggest he follow a command. My dog is the best!
