Ok, Clearly, hands down, without a doubt this is not a real religion in any sense. Also they have ideas that are so far out there it's fictional. Wow, Kind of like an L.R.H book? Ironic?Could this whole thing be a way to sell an idea and make money.Kind of like writing a science fiction novel and making money on it. Wow. What a concept.Turn sciene fiction into a religion. With that said I am finding it interesting that these Scientologists always post long drawn out answers to my questions. What will they say to this. It's kind of like putting a robot in front of a mirror, lol.

They do an "advanced search", find every single Scientology question, and answer it in pretty much the same way. I do the same thing, though... except I post my answer explaining how it is a cult.

For a true scientologist to be able to use this website, they must get some special permission from very high above, and preferably be somebody who's quite high up on 'The Bridge'. Bog standard scientologists are always discouraged to use things like this site, in fact, the internet is almost forbidden to them. The ones answering your questions are very robotic like you said. Just check out the answers of the main scientology zealots and you'll see that there's no other subject they are interested in so they wouldn't answer a question, let's say in News & Events or Pregnancy or Small Businesses or any other section that any general human being could somehow contribute to. I find that quite disturbing and I wouldn't take the words of a person who has no other interest in life apart from Scientology. The reason they are here is because they've been told by the 'church' to go and spread the word and try to encourage more people to join their 'religion'. I think if they weren't answering Scientology only questions then they might have some credibility on this site.

It is probably just because they are looking for questions about scientology. The net is a bad thing for scientology because a person can get real info about the cult right off the net even watch the south park episode to learn what the high up people believe and pay to know. YA has a great deal of people letting others know scietology is a cult.

Check out http://www.xenu.net if you have not. Scietology is about capitalism yes, but it is also a deadly cult.

OK lets set a couple of things straight.

Scientology means scio-knowledge+logy-the study of. So the word, wait! wait! the word means 'the study of knowledge or knowing what you know'.

I don't think I have ever put a long drawn out answer.

When I see a question about Scientology I answer it, why? Because I am a Scientologist.

I have practiced Scientology for 7 years. Some of it is hard some of it is fun, but most of all I use the techniques in Scientology to improve my life and my worth to myself and others.

The bypass actual predates Christianity. Ours is an 8 pointed bypass that represents the 8 aspects of our dynamic urge in direction of optimal survival. those are the urges to outlive as or via: 1st Dynamic - Self 2d Dynamic - kinfolk, infants and intercourse third Dynamic - communities 4th Dynamic - Mankind 5th Dynamic - existence types (incorporates flora and animals) 6th Dynamic - The actual universe seventh Dynamic - The Spirit 8th Dynamic - The writer or Infinity (from the extensive form 8 laid on it rather is edge)

I think it is sad that Hubbard coined that word because it would suit so many people in Yahoo Answers that we could of owned it!!
Break it down Scientology would be the study of science itself no? If not the religion of science. It's a shoe in for R&S. Half the people here worship higher education, science, deductive reasoning and the lot. YES.. I think we could call this section Religion and Scirntology! Awesome!!

How is it any more wacky than the concepts of christianity ??

People being made from dirt ? Talking animals and bushes ? A man building a boat and taking animals on it?? A man living in a whale for 3 days ??Turning water into wine ??

You ever read the bible?

That's sh*ts not wacky??

If you are objective and look at both of them, you would realize no one is more wackier than the other

L. Ron Hubbard himself said that it was a scam. He used to publicly laugh and say that the best way to make really big money would be to start your own religion. Even after THAT people follow him...so it just shows how brain-dead they are.

Zero Cool knows more about it than just about anybody...including Scientologists.

I guess they just go around looking for people who show an interest and go on the prowl just like certain religions do. Most religions if not all religions are all about the money.

as far as religious beliefs and fairy tales go- it is a pretty stupid one.

Actually it IS wackier than christianity.

Christianity might be pretty wacky, but at least it is not based on criss crossing a blatantly obvious buck rogers or flash gordon space epic with life. Christianity's failings might be obvious, but at least not blatantly obvious.

EDIT: Its the difference between me telling you that howard stern owns the brooklyn bridge, or mickey mouse and donald duck own the brooklyn bridge. At least howard is a real person.
