In most cases you cannot start as a driver for UPS unless you start at the bottom as a loader. My brother works for UPS as a package driver for 27 years. He started as a Christmas help loader and worked his butt off and they asked if he would like to drive. Starting pay can't be $28.00 per hour. He has been there 27 years and I believe he is in the 23-26 dollar range. But he does get what is called insentive pay for taking out more than 8 hours worth of work. By the way the joke is that UPS stands for under paid slaves> LOL
