The best thing to eat is whatever is processed the least. Like peanuts or trail mix. Anything else will have loads of sugars, fats, calories, and carbs (and who knows what else). Also, eating peanuts/trail mix, and the like, will give you more energy and stay in your system longer. And drink lots and lots of water. It will keep you full longer. Also you could try buying little snack packages from the grocery and stashing in your bag. It's more economical and it will keep you from falling victim to a candy bar. I know that Planters makes snack packs. Check the cookie isle of your grocery store. Stay healthy and best of luck!

Truthfully, it really depends. Vending machines all carry different products....none of which are usually that healthy. You would be better off packing something to eat.
If you have to eat from a vending machine, try to look for the freshest items with the least preservatives, trans or saturated fats, calories, dyes, and sodium. Milk, sandwiches, Wheat Thins, water, hard pretzels, raisins, nuts, or something like that.

Spicy Pig Skins (Pork Rhines). They are mostly carbs and if you're working out then you'll work them off.

if you only want a snack you can eat granola bars, pretzels or popcorn (a lot of fiber on this last one).
