Due to the high alcohol content (anything over 50%) of certain brands of vodka, it can be stored in ice or a freezer without any crystallization of water. In countries where alcohol levels are generally low (the USA for example, due to alcohol taxation levels varying directly with alcohol content), individuals sometimes increase the alcohol percentage by a form of freeze distillation. This is done by placing the vodka in an open vessel (bowl, etc) in the freezer, and then after it has reached a temperature below the freezing point of water, adding one or more ice cubes, to which the free water within the vodka will crystallize, leaving a higher alcohol concentration behind.

The freezing point for Vodka or ethanol (the alcohol you're talking about) is -114 degrees Celsius. Ultra-low temperature freezers (which are the coldest you can buy) have temperatures between -50 and -90 degrees Celcius. Your freezer at home most likely has temperatures around -10 degrees Celcius. All these temperatures are too warm for pure alcohol to freeze. That's why you can alcohol in your freezer and it won't freeze.

Vodka contains a high percentage of ethanol, which has a freezing point of minus 117°C. Water freezes at 0°C.
The higher percentage your vodka, the less lkely it will freeze. Smirnoff often freezes as it's under 40% ABV - 37.5%. However, if you pop Absolute in the freezer, it will need to get very cold before it will freeze!

Vodka will freeze if it is cold enough, but because it contains a high percentage of alcohol, it will not freeze at 0 degrees celcius as that is the freezing point for water, not alcohol.

Anything past a certain proof won't freeze in an ordinary commercial freezer. I keep my Cuervo and Jack Daniels in the freezer all the time and never have to worry about it.

It does freeze, but at much lower temperatures than your freezer. Alcohol just has a lower freezing point.

Alcohol freezes at a much colder temperature than water, and your freezer doesn't go that low. It also boils at a lower temperature than water, which is how it is extracted (distilled) from fermented sugar mixtures into higher-percentage alcohol content liquids.

the alcohol content of the liquid changes the temperature at which it freezes..so your normal fridge freezer won't freeze vodka or rum, or whiskey....but it WILL freeze beer !!!...the percentage of alcohol in beer is much less than in "spirits" so that's why..
