@ a guestimation it should be no more than £120, anymore than this is too much, i did one similar, it cost me £30 for materials...but iam sure some builders will try charge double or treble, your best bet is to get three diffirent free quotes and take the cheapest...good luck

This is about 2 days work for a 3 man gang. A day to dig out and a day for the slab. Labour should be no more than £450 per day. Skip for waste disposal no more than £120 and concrete between £100 to £140 depending upon how thick the slab is. Total cost therefore should not exceed £1200.

Hi,u say 10ft x 8ft=80 ft sq.You do not mention the depth but i would have thought around £150.0.However,let them make the offer, and haggle from that point. Also, you want a reputable builder,so,may be ask family and friends.

Needed just that for my shed, I live in a terraced house..no rear access
To do this yourself, create a frame where you need the base, (old scaffold boards are great if you can beg/borrow) peg it firmly, make sure its level on the tops.A cubic yard will give you 4 inches approx.
Call up Mixamate, 0800 28 88 001
Hopefully, they are in your area, they will come round, Mix,your concrete for you. The guy I called actually barrowed the concrete through the house, and poured it for me.myself & friend levelled with rakes & board, job done. OK, I slipped the guy a £15.00 tip Total cost, £95 inc tip...

It is very easy but just as easy to get ripped off.
Look for an established local small builder

This is not question any builder can answer. The first thing he should know is what is the base for, then he would be able to judge the thickness and stress level it would require.

It depends on the builder......as to what price he charges......Ask around your men friends first see if you can get some response.............I would say a maximum of £200...
to prepare the ground...make the former...and to concrete it.
You dont say what its for............If its for a garden shed, you could lay concrete slabs.!!!
