My uncle, aunt, and 2 baby cousins are coming to town tomorrow, and my mom and I are going over to my grandma's to see everyone. We're going to have a family dinner. I haven't seen my uncle in a few years, and the last time I spoke to him online, we had a minor disagreement. I've seen the babies and my aunt since then, but I know the babies don't remember me. How am I supposed to be? I know I should just be myself, but this is going to be an awkward situation.

It's only awkward if you choose to make it so. If the disagreement was minor, decide you'll have to agree to disagree and treat him as though nothing happened. There's no point making a big deal of a minor issue, life's too short. Enjoy their visit.

Forget about the minor disagreement. Just be pleasant to everyone, and reintroduce yourself to the babies.

Have fun!

Avoid your disagreement and just try and open conversations about how the past years have been if you want to be sociable but if you just wanna have dinner peacefully and gracefully then just smile and eat...! : )

i would say apologize to your uncle. Play peek a boo with the babies. Talk to your family and love them. if your uncle doesnt accept your apology then dont talk to him until he comes around to his senses.

hope this helps : )
