I would be wearing thick sweatpants and a normal hoodie, with a t-shirt underneath.

Also, should I still still drink as much water as i desired or would that just put back the extra weight i lost?

Maybe more water (sweat) from being warmer, but you'd quickly replace this.

Sweating is what causes weight to decrease. You are burning excess fat and calories for energy. Wearing sweats will make you sweat more. But be careful doing this because there are health risks to over heating. If you become faint or dizzy while working out with your sweats then just take them off and cool down.

Drinking water is good for you. You should hydrate more before you work out (hours before not minutes) and less after. Do not drink a lot during your workout.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.

The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.

Get started today!

If you think mainly on terms of weight, then drinking water will put more weight on you and dehydratating your body til' death will definately help you "see" that you're loosing weight when looking down at the scale. Forget about sweating! To find out about your progress, don't look mainly at your weight, measure your body!!!! Yes, measure your hips, thigs, chest, etc; that along with your weight will help you find out about the real results of any exercise program. Remember, we're able to loose pant/skirt/dress sizes and still not "see" a lot of difference in weight. Why? Because muscle weights more then fat. A healthy body depends of bones, muscles and just enought fat to help with certain body processes. So, drink water, keep doing your exercises, but forget about knowing how much you've progressed if you don't measure your body. Forget about the weight for a little.

You can lose more water weight through sweat and it also helps to keep your muscles warmed up. Changing your diet to reduce excess salt is a good way to keep water weight down. Consult your doctor before any questionable dieting/exercising of course. Don't overheat yourself either. Drink plenty of water because water doesn't affect your water absorbtion, it just replenishes the diminished water from working out. Certain things in your diet can increase the capacity for carrying water adding extra water weight, but water alone will not do it. I wear sweats to keep my body warmed up and drink plenty of water.

Wearing sweats would perhaps make you sweat more, thus causing a temporary water loss, i.e...weight loss. But this too would only be temporary. And, you shouldn't dehydrate yourself. Yes, drink lot's of water before and after. Water will not cause weight gain, trust me on this one! Water is great for your body. Keeps your joints lubricated and you'll feel much better when working out. Good Luck.

I'd say yes because of the 75% or so water that is in your body. W/ the sweats on, you are more hot than you would normally be, so you would sweat out extra weight in water.

Yes, water weight. As soon as you drink again you would go back to your normal weight.

You might not work out as hard if you get to hot.

But keep drinking water anyway it is good tool in weightloss.

You will only lose weight in sweat. No you will not increase your metabolism by wearing more clothing. Muscle will increase your metabolism...
Drink lots of water - it will flush out the toxins and help you lose weight. Besides, it is good for you!

water weight doesn't count as lost weight. you need to burn fat by exercising and raising your heart rate, not sweating. wrestlers wear layers so they sweat more right before a weigh in, but that water weight is unhealthy to lose. you sould dress comfortably, as you are more likely to work harder for longer if you are comfortable. try to be healthy. not skinny. if you try to be skinny you'll end up pale, undernourished, uneducated about your body and how to make it work best for you. If you try to live healthily you'll be educated about your choices, strong, alert, and confident.
