They will not issue an arrest warrant for failure to appear for one traffic infraction. Come on people! If too much time has not already gone by, just send the ticket in and mark your plea as guilty. If you live in another state, then you probably have a driver's license from a state other than NY, so your license can't be suspended either. Just send in the ticket, they will notify you of the fine amount. Better to just get it over with then to let it hang over your head.

odds are your Lic is at present suspended and you have a warrant. i'm useful the notification is interior the mail...it is going to take some weeks to get to you. i might recommend calling the courtroom and coping with this ASAP, previously you get caught driving with a suspended Lic..that's a criminal offense in many states. an entire new ballgame from a site visitors violation. If the cost ticket replaced into issued in a state the place you do no longer stay, going on your ,ocal police is pointless. they'll have no information and can furnish you no longer something, different than maybe to run your Lic for a suspension. the only people who might actual assist you at this element is the courtroom which you probably did no longer seem at. as quickly as a value tag is in courtroom, even the cop who wrote it could no longer do a ingredient. Get online, get the courtroom clerks telephone extensive form (on the courtroom YOU did no longer seem AT) call them at 9AM tommorow. Odds are they'll merely reschedule you or enable you recognize what you would be able to desire to do.

You need to inform them that you can't answer the summons in person. A warrant gets issued when you fail to appear in court when you're supposed to. The others who said so are correct.

Your best bet is to do a search on line for the address of the district attorney assigned to the municipality in which you received the ticket, write them a letter via snail mail, enclose the ticket you received, and explain that you would like to plead guilty to the offense, but cannot, due to physical proximity, attend a court date. In my experience, taking the time to write a respectfully worded letter to a D.A. when it comes to a traffic violation shows a level of conscientiousness, and if nothing else, I assure you, your guilty plea will be accepted, and you will be billed for the fine and court charge. If you are lucky, you will have made a good enough impression to have the ticket dismissed..... give it a try.

A warrant would issue and possibly a suspension of your driving privileges would follow shortly thereafter.

It would be wise to pay the ticket. If you cannot pay it in full attend your court date and set up a payment plan.

You'll be issued an arrest warrant. The best thing to do is ask yourself if you were speeding. If you were, pay the fine and save yourself some trouble.

Neither...What they will do is send you a letter telling you that a warrant will be issued for your arrest if the fine is not paid. They can also contact the state that your license was issued. They may or may not suspend it.
