Mike it seems you are making up your own laws up and have decided the current ones one the books do not meet your expections and therefore they don't matter any longer .The case here seems to be what you believe is what counts not what the rest of America believes Any person in this country illegally is a threat to national security we cannot assume so and so just came here to work if only this were the case the many illegals locked up in prison would amount to ZERO. There is no point in having laws if everyone can select and pick what is in their best interest to obey or ignore and when you get caught it's about the kids and never about the law

fact: the hijackers were in the country on legally issued visas
fact: they were all from friendly countries

So how would secure borders do anything for you?

"...never happens"? Are you kidding? Remember Timothy McVeigh?

If you want real security then get a government that wants to be a member of the world community instead of Big Brother wielding a Big Stick. Think how you would feel if this 400 pound guy with a machete, AK47 and 20 hand grenades was always walking into your house like he owned the joint.

Well, thats how the rest of the world sees the US.

My "plan" is to find and punish the people responsible for it in the first place and not to give Visas to people who flew planes into the WTC.

By the way, were you aware that we were NOT attacked by Mexico on 9-11?

Name me one person who says our borders shouldn't be defended? Name me one person that says that there should be unfettered access to the country.

There are those of us that feel that people that immigrate to this country illegally, while breaking the law, are still not necessarily evil. We feel that limits on immigration are too strict, and we believe that building a fence might not be the most effective way to guard our border and at BEST would serve to slow down the tide. We believe that it might be practically infeasible to round up everyone that is in the country illegally and start deportation procedures.

It's a complicated issue and it requires slightly more complex thought than you seem to be offering.
