That's really hard to answer - but a good question. Some think that they can support our troops but not the war - it's simple - you can not. Some can not grasp the concept that is so simply stated in your question "they are fighting for us!" Instead others blindly believe they are doing good by protesting & making absurd conspiracy theories. We who support our military need to hold strong. God Bless our Military & President Bush.

I don't think there is one person that does not support our troops, what people do not support is this war. I am not a republican or a democrat, i am an American who votes on what i think will be best for Americans and America, i don't vote along party lines, as Americans we have been ripped off by members of both parties equally. to vote for something just because everyone else in your party is, is how we got in the **** were in, by the time someone is elected to congress, you owe so many favors you no longer are able to vote your say, you end up voting for what ever will help put money in your backers pocket, also keep in mind before invading Iraq, they had never killed an American, never threatened an American, nor had they ever invaded America, so why did we go in? I don't think there is but a handful of people that truly know for sure, but one thing is for sure we screwed up, there are many things we don't know the truth about, so may be we did need to go, but did we have to go to war in such a half assed manner, with neither enough men or equipment for the men we sent over there, and now because of how bad we have messed this up, we are now seen as weak by other countries. so i think you miss understand we support our troops but not the war, and if anyone did not support the troops properly it is the people that sent them over there with just their d icks in there hands.

People DO support the troops. The problem is simply this, although the troops would say otherwise since it is their intention to be fighting for the all the citizens of the U.S., the troops are NOT fighting for all Americans. They are fighting for Corporate America. Haliburton and their ilk. Which means that our troops are fighting for the rich elite class of America who run those corporations. It isn't for the average American that they are fighting. The Elites are saying that Democrats for example are not supporting the troops. That's because the republican party is led by Corporate America's Elite and it is in their own best interest to keep the war going since they are making an enormous amount of money off it. But it is at the expense of the rest of us Americans and many innocent Iraqi men, women, and children who are dying in the war for no purpose but to fill the pockets of the American elite class.

Some people are a bit confused with the concept of support.
Some people say:
I support our troops!
I disrespect their commander in chief.
I disagree with the very fact that they're in Iraq
I abhor the very concept of war.
I think we are providing too much (monetary) support for our troops.
I don't want to send people to relieve our troops at war.
BUT I SUPPORT OUR TROOPS!!!
Doesn't really work does it?

A lot of people do support the troops, but it would appear that they don't.
I'm one of them.
I do not support the war, I do not support our government.
However .. I would do anything to help the people who are fighting for us. I'm in the US Army, and I know that there are A LOT of people there who don't want to be there. There are a lot of troops there who do not support the war and think it's ignorant that they're there. There are a lot of people there who are happy they're fighting.
Just like there are civilians with different opinions, there are military with different opinions. It's ignorant to believe that just because you're in the military - you have the current government's opinion.
Most military do know that they're supported by people - who agree or disagree with the war.

Where are you getting your information from?
What country are you from? It’s sad if you’re country does not back its troops. Unless you’re a terrorist. They are nothing but cowards and no one supports a coward.
The US troops are supported and backed the entire United States Population. We love our guys and girls.

There is a difference in supporting the men and women who are being sent into harms way and supporting those sending them there.
Our warriors are not in control of this war. Those who sent them into it to waste their lives and batter their bodies are criminal in, if nothing else, the neglegence department.
Rational, thinking, empathatic people realize that the war was a HUGE mistake and lives were wasted in a fools grandiose adventure.
I support our sailors, soldiers and Marines. I hate our government and in particular President Bush for sending them to a war unpreparded undermanned and ill equiped.

I think it is important to distinguish btw support for the troops and support for an illegal and unconstitutional war waged by our prez. I hate the fact that W gets away with this "war", yet I have deep respect for the men and women who are in our miitary...some times we forget to point that out, so don't just assume b/c we are anti war that we are anti troops, that is just not the case.
