australia's a great country but if you think about it, you'd only be able to see your family like once every five years...you should go over there for like a year to see if you like it or not, and decide then. Good luck!

You must decide who you want to be with the most and then just DO IT! You can always move back if it does not work out in Australia. Life is short! Dont waste a second worrying about what "might" happen. Good luck on whatever you decide!

It is allot to ask of somebody to move to a foreign country with no family or friends there that you know.If you really love this person and want to be together why don`t you try a trial period in Australia and if after this your still not sure you want to leave your family and friends then tell him as i am sure you could come to some kind of compromise..........good luck.

I say go, this country is going down the pan. I worked with a few people that have gone out to Oz and they say its the best thing they ever did. if you both love each other then you should be together, Oz is only 24 hours away, you can get a flight for £350, so your family could visit whenever they wanted...What are you waiting for??

That is a tough one, I am the product of an army marriage. My Mum left her family and travelled the world with Dad. She never regretted it for one nano-second. That said when the time came for me to leave her ( now a widow) and go to Canada with my boyfriend I couldn`t do it. I think you should go and try for a period of time, say 6-12 months. That way you will know if you like the country and don`t get to home-sick.

Depends what you are leaving behind here? If it is family, they could visit and experience a wonderful country. Talk it over with family and friends and see what their reaction is. You might also test your b/f and see what he would do if you stay in the UK..............there's a thought. Providing he loves you equally he may not want to loose you. Good Luck.

do what YOU feel is right, maybe visit him out there for a month or so (if your job allows) and see how you feel about the place
i couldn't leave my family as we are very close, and Oz is a very long way away if you're feeling homesick

Try it on a visitors visa for a year, then make up your mind. You might love it or hate it. Good luck, it's a bonzer country!
