Sometimes when I am going through things in life I tend to eat alot, what can I do that gives me the same feeling as food but, is more productive. ( I can't exercise because of an injury)

i used to have the same problem, but now everytime im upset and have a craving for food i try to go do something else. i will tell myself that the only way i can eat is if i read atleast 50 pages in my book. in never seem to reach that goal by the time my craving goes away. & cravings usually last anywhere from 15-20 minutes. so if you can keep yourself busy for that time..then your good to go

if you find yourself going for food, ask yourself, am i really hungry? then wait 10 -15 min. If you are still hungry after 10 min, then eat something, but choose a healthy snack. Usually, after waiting 10 -15 min, the craving to just eat will diminish. And sometimes its enough time to talk yourself out of binging.
Or you can chew sugarless gum.

take up a hobby - something you really really like to do. and when you feel stressed, and/or the urge to eat, remove yourself from the situation (as much as possible) whether it be just removing yourself from the kitchen and distracting yourself, or whatnot...

Drink a big glass of water. Tell yourself to wait 20 minutes before you eat anything. If you still desire the food in 20 minutes, brush your teeth or chew a piece of gum. Try to distract yourself from wanting to eat.

Chew gum, eat a Popsicle. munch on carrots ask yourself if you are hungry or do you just want to eat. Be conscience of what you are doing because it is your sub-conscience that is making you want to eat

just prevent yourself from eating

drink a honey and cinnamon in a cup of hot water. It'll help you to lose weight if you drink a cup in the morning and at bed time.

sunflower seeds. gives you that feeling of eating but can take all day to go thru one bag.

type in thinsperation under google and they will give you alot of tricks and tips to stop eating ;)
