thankfully I 've never been caught, but my sister did and hers did not go up. I was surprised. I thought it would.Maybe it's who you know!!?

Your insurance will go up for any moving ticket you receive, it doesn't matter if you got caught because of the camera, if you were not driving the car at the time, you can appeal it and request a picture from the camera, it will show who was the driver.

Yes but just throw the ticket away. Or you can pay the ticket and send them 1 dollar extra, they will send you a refund check and you never cash it. this keeps the account open and it never gets added to your record. Or if the picture does not show who is driving, just dispute the claim saying you are not the one driving the car, and that you were out of town and did not know who was driving.

Yep. It counts as a moving violation so yes, it will affect your insurance.
