I just added cold water/cornstarch mixed together to my thin stew in slowcooker. I took a quick taste of the liquid and it's floury. Will that go away or did I just damage my stew?

you have NOT damaged ur stew...the cornstarch "taste" will cook out after ..well..literally being cooked...it's like tasting pastry before it's cooked....it doesn't taste the same or have the same consistency...
watch your stew, though,,because if you put in TOO much cornstarch,,,it may thicken too much...just add some more beef stock to make it not so thick if that happens....you'll be fine !!!!....

No you didn't damage the stew; the flour taste will go away as the stew thickens and cooks. Keep stirring to prevent scorching at the bottom and lumps from forming.

Far from ruined your Stew you did exactly the right thing now all you need to do is wait until the dish gets back up to its temperature and it will thicken and taste a lot better

the floury taste will g away once it has started bubbling. cook until it does bubble away but make sure your heat is on low or else the stew will burn from the bottom. all in all the floury taste should go.

Just leave it alone. Your stew will come out just fine. Cornstarch will take on the flavor it is added to.

If your stew has not reached its boiling point, the thickening agents in the corn starch will not activate. AFter it comes to a boil, it should be fine.
