I have one of those cans that you push on the nozzle thing and the whipped cream comes out. It's been open for more than a week, but I don't remember how long exactly. How long is is good for in the fridge after it's been opened? Is it still safe for young kids and myself to eat? (Three year old in my house)

Ours usually is good for two weeks. After that it doesn't come out of the can right - watery and not that good, airy stuff. But if you want REALLY good whipped cream, make it yourself with whipping cream and sugar. The kids have a great time watching it go from liquid to whipped cream.

Plus ,if the nitrogin gas interior the can is expired once you pass to apply it there will be no tension and the can will of no use, if it has that partiular expiry date it is going to final till June of this year, or as mentioned untill it now no longer has any tension. The contents is extremely-pasturized which propose the cream replaced into taken care of at a greater physically powerful temparture than time-honored milk or cream, there are some preservatives interior the contents to maintain it from souring. i replaced right into a Chef in Canada for 20 yrs and we used it at a number of the smaller eating places I ran, many times it is going to final a million year if refrigerated and after the 1st use it could save for 3-4 months, the stress interior the can is the only factor which could impact the utilization, as quickly as th gas has long gone it won't paintings and could must be disposed of.

OMG, call your grandmother, or get out an old cookbook. That stuff is gold!! You can use it in any baked good that calls for milk or cream and you will be amazed. In fact, they used to deliberately sour the cream with a tsp of vinegar before baking. Also perfect to mix in pancake batter!!!!

If you rinse the tube out after each use with water. And shake the can well before dispensing. About a year!
If you don't rinse the nozzle out with water before you put it back in the frige, it will mold. Just rinse it out, and use it.
