I don’t think you have anything to worry about. Dogs can sometimes take a change in routine or location kind of hard, and it may just be that he needs some time to adjust before getting back to his regular habits. I recently moved, and my dog did the same thing. By the second day, she was eating like always. You probably shouldn’t rush him. If he’s more comfortable not eating for a day or two, just let him be.

I would suggest adding a little cooked rice to the reg food just mix in a small amount but in time he will eat just leave the food there. It takes up to 2 weeks for a dog to adjust to a new environment just be patient.

start by assuring him that everything is okay. pay more attention to him so that he knows everything is safe.

try to cut down on his treats or use his food as treats. if he still wont eat, try spriting some water on the kibble. dont drench it. jst a lite sprinkle to let the smell come out more. get on a schedule of feeding him. after 20 minutes of not eating the food, take it away.

hope this helps.

Just make sure his food is available for when he decides to eat. He is nervous and I don't know what kind of dog he is, but they can sense when things aren't like they should be. I just got a new Chihuahua and it took him a couple of days before he would eat and I had to be sitting with him for him to eat.

hes adjusting to change of the move he will eat don't worry - if he hasn't eatten by the same time tomorrow I'd just cook some lean ground beef mixed with some brown rice & give him a bit to eat - hes juist probably worried about the move & whats going on around him

I would show him where his food dish is going to be and keep it in the same spot. I would also sit by the dish and try to hand feed him a little food until he realizes that is his new meal spot and be patient. He will eat whn he is hungary. If it continues I would call your vet.

If you typically use dog food, add a little people food (meat) in with the dog food. That usually does the trick.
