I believe I do this every day in one way or another. Like St Paul says in Rm 7 "I do the very thing I hate". But elsewhere Paul teaches the good news that Christians are "no longer under the Law", meaning that we do not live as if our salvation depended upon the Law; and elsewhere in three places he says we are "free from sin" , meaning that we are free from the guilt and shame of sin but not free from the acts of sinning. And still elsewhere he teaches that in that book of life where are names are written that no sin is imputed, or charged to our eternal account, any longer. Thank God allmighty - I am indeed "free at last". So like Martin Luther put it " Sin boldly but believe and rejoice in Christ more boldly still". Luther was quick to point out that he was not suggesting we, as Christians, take advantage of our "freedom", but that as we slip each day we do not let that event overcome us, that we do not let Satan begin to grind us down over our sin, but that we rejoice in what Christ has done for us even more boldly.

I totally accept his teachings into my heart mind and soul
not all that old testament mythology

My soul knows, not so much my mind.I lean on Gods understanding not my own.

The spirit of god guides me because i listen and try to do gods will

all that call upon My name will NOT be saved
ONLY those who do my fathers will .will be saved said Jesus Christ your Lord and Savior
I sure do pity those who go to church all there life's saying praise God and Jesus and then they go to hell because they didn't DO gods will.

I listen and do Gods will if you do not listen how can you know gods will?Gods will comes from the spirit of god
Its NOT in a book
The BIBLE says that Jesus said That only a FEW will make it

why do people think that just believing there was a Jesus will get them to heaven i wonder?

The Devil who is real and has demons influencing us all the time knows that there is a Jesus.

Peace.
Please Pray for peace

One of my favorite gospels is Luke 12:13-21, but my very favorite is Matthew 14:13-21. How about you, Pal?

I don't question Jesus' teachings; I just question the authority of the people who wrote them down. I believe Jesus was a great moral leader, but I reject that he ever performed any miracles or that he ever claimed to be the son of God. Other people wrote the Gospels and the names were tacked onto them by the early church (in good faith, but they did it nonetheless).

I am not compromising God's truth, on the contrary, what I believe in, I believe to be the truth.

It is Christs teachings that show me that I am a sinner and need His saving work. Yes we are to follow Him in obedience but He teaches us we will struggle all our lives. That is why one of His greatest sermons - the sermon on the mount- He states right off "Blessed are those who mourn". We don't mourn because we are so righteous but because we aren't.

I think every person on this earth is capable of falling into temptation. I think we become 'aware' of our failures when Christ convicts us, either thru words that Christian friends speak in truth, or in words from teh bible itself.
