Because too many "Christians" dont understand who He is. Chirst never said "Build a church and wait for the people to come in." He told us to "GO" into the world and preach the Gospel. We need to take the Gospel outside the 4 walls of the church.
And by the Gospel, I mean teaching about Jesus Christ, not running around telling everyone that they will burn in hell if they dont accept him. Christ never did this nor did he ever tell us to do it. He said preach the "Gospel"
Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

Why r we? That would be satan's domain.Selfishness is in his plan.Those who love Jesus try to resist the temptation to be selfish.
