I use Zatarain's Cajun spices or Chachere's. An envelope of Lipton onion soup is great in hamburgers for grilling just add it to the beef or ground turkey with a little olive oil and some spoons of water or broth - let sit for about an hour before you mold the patties and grill.
I use soy sauce, green Tabasco,
Sauce: Worchestershire sauce, garlic, butter and lots of fresh lemon juice, and a bit of soy. Makes a great sauce for pork, poultry, fish or beef.
I stuff burgers with cheese, olives, onions or jalapenos and cheese slices. Also can put a bit of ham inside the stuffing.
Barbeque sauce: 1 bottle ketchup, 2 sticks butter, 1 can beer dark is best, 6 cloves garlic, 1 large onion chopped, juice of 2 lemons and throw lemon halves in whole to the sauce, 1 teaspoon dried mustard, can use 1/2 cup molasses or honey if you like it sweet. Simmer all that on the stove for about 20 mins. If it is took thick add some beer or water. You can use wine too but use white because red turns things too purple.
Smoke rub: 1/2 cup paprika, 1/2 cup chili powder, 1 tablespoon pickling spices, 1/2 cup honey, 1/2 cup olive oil, 1/2 cup kosher salt, 1 cup brown sugar - let the spices and oils mingle - rub the meat with the paste and let sit at room temp for about half an hour - then put into smoker with water basin - use soaked hickory hunks - smoke for several hours. Take out and freeze. You can remove from freezer and put into oven directly to cook - tastes like outdoors grilling all year long.

I think the best hamburgers aren't seasoned at all, especially if you have a really great grind. Maybe a little salt and pepper, but it's the flavor the grill gives the burger along with your toppings that make the best burgers tops.
If you decide to add anything to your burgers, incorporate it quickly and just as quickly form the patties. Over-handled proteins like hamburger meat can become tough from over-working.

Tex-Mex Burger with Cajun Mayo
A jazzy way to spice up the boring basic burger that will tantalize your taste buds! Cajun spiced mayonnaise is the perfect compliment to these spicy beef burgers.
INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
1 1/3 pounds ground beef sirloin
1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and chopped
1/2 cup diced white onion
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
4 slices pepperjack cheese
4 hamburger buns, split
4 leaves lettuce
4 slices tomato
DIRECTIONS
Preheat grill for medium-high heat. In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise and 1 teaspoon of Cajun seasoning. Set aside.
In a large bowl, mix together the ground sirloin, jalapeno pepper, onion, garlic, 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning, and Worcestershire sauce using your hands. Divide into 4 balls, and flatten into patties.
Lightly oil the grilling surface, and place the patties on the grill. Cook for about 5 minutes per side, or until well done. During the last 2 minutes, lay a slice of cheese on top of each patty. Spread the seasoned mayonnaise onto the insides of the buns. Put burgers in the buns, and top with lettuce and tomato to serve.

I agree with Thomas...Best burgers aren't exotically seasoned.
Try this topping:
1/2 lb button or crimea mushrooms cleaned and sliced
1 sm purple onion sliced
1 pasilla chile roasted over the grill, peeled, seeded and sliced.
Put the above ingredients in a sauce pan and slowly cook 'till onions are carmelized and everything is soft.
Add a little red wine, sea salt and fresh ground pepper and reduce.
Coat burgers with coarse fresh gound pepper and kosher(large grain) salt before grilling. (always bring meat to room temp berfore grilling too!)
Grill to desired doneness and top with some Manchego cheese and the topping.
Serve on high quality rustic bread.
YUMMY!

Take your hamburger and mix in an envelope of dry ranch dressing mix.
Or dice up some onion, green pepper and red pepper, salt and pepper to taste.
The only other one I use is hamburger, 1 egg, and some Vietnamese soy sauce, I can't spell it, but if you go to an international store, they have it. Mix it up and cook it.
All these might sound weird, but if all my kids will eat it, Im sure that adults will like it too.

I use ground turkey, lots of minced garlic, finely chopped bell pepper and onion. I mix with an egg, salt, pepper and real oatmeal (not instant, but plain old fashioned oats). For each pound of meat I use about 1/2 to 3/4 cup oatmeal. Mix together well but gently and grill or broil in oven. I also use this same mix for my meatloaf, but I also put in about 4 ounces of tomato sauce.
