I am interested in math and I am wondering if engineering is a good major for me. Is engineering extremely difficult to graduate from? If so, what makes it so difficult?

Engenerrs of all types are needed in this country. the country has to rely more and more on engeneers from other countries such as india, russia, china. if you are good in math and also enjoy science, then it is a good major for you. It will be a lot of work and homework that must be attended to, but you will have ample job opportunities when you do graduate form any engeneering program.

Mechanical engineering does give you broad engineering exposure. If you are interested in math, though, you may also want to explore other fields like finance, actuarial science, etc. I went into mechanical engineering because I was good at math, but found that I am not that interested in all the details of engineering. I enjoy crunching numbers.

If you like math, why not consider a Math Degree?

But, to answer your question, it really depends on what you want to do. If you like working on interesting projects then an Engineering degree may well be the answer. But it you want to make money, consider an Accounting degree, an MBA, or becoming an Attorney.
