I'm 14 and i weigh 114lbs and I'm only 5'1! how can i loose weight? any tips or websites would be greatly apprieciated. I get called fat a lot and i believe im the fattest of all of my friends.

ok, first of all, if your fat, then i must be a flippin hippo!!! that's not even cool!! Babe, everyone is beautiful! i cna't say it enough. i don't know how people think that of themselves. it's ok hunny, be strong. you sound like your small. i am 16 and 120 and only five feet. it's ok, i'm probably about the same size as you. so don't worry, people luv u anyway!

You are not that fat!!! Stop hating yourself!!! If you were REALLY fat, believe me, NO ONE would call you fat! There was a girl in my school who was over 200 lbs. and NO ONE called her fat, but they teasted the slightly pudgy girls mercilessly. So calm down, you are not huge!!!

I have been fighting my weight all my life, so I don't have any good answer. There is evidence that there is a biological reason some people carry more fat than others. Since you are young, I can advise that you pick a SENSIBLE exercise routine and stick with it. Decide to walk for a half an hour each day, or walk up and down the stairs in your house (or apartment building) 5 times each day - something like that.

Don't wear jeans with your thong hanging out or half-tops (don't wear thongs at all - not good for you). Dress appropriately for your size and hold your head high. Stay away from fast food as much as possible. But realize that you may never be a stick figure! We are all different and, I know that when I die, the most important thing to me will not be how I looked, but how I acted. :)

One note: you are still young - do NOT diet!!! You can start to eat healthier, but be very careful about going on any diets because you can mess up your metabolism and have trouble with it the rest of your life.

First, you should have a positive attitude while on-line. Having a name of 'hate me' doesn't help.

Watch what you eat. Bottom line is: If you take IN more calories than you burn, you will gain weight. Try walking. Work you way up to a mile or two a day. This may seem like a long distance, but it's not. Encourage others to join you. This also help with circulation and will brighten your spirits.

Don't hang out with people that are negative. I avoid these people! You will find yourself depressed/feeling down with people that feel the same.

I could go on and on. Perhaps see your school nurse or physical education teacher and they will help you....guaranteed. Good luck and keep your chin up.

114lbs isn't fat and anyway your still young and you haven't finished growing yet. Trust me by the time you 18/19 you'll be all evened out and you'll look great. But if you do feel self conscious about your weight there's no need to diet just try changing a few things in your normal day-to-day diet such as swapping crisps for an apple or even do a small amount of exercise. I personally love the dance mat if you have one. its a great way to tone up and its fun... Never think your fatter than all your friends, think of your self as curvaceous =D...Hope i helped x x

You may not be overweight at all, if you have a large frame...if you are small-boned then you're just a few pounds over the recommended adult weight for your height (per http://www.freedieting.com/tools/ideal_body_weight.htm)

Now, you don't want to "loose" weight (loose is what you want your pants to be), you want to "lose" it. Eat healthy (cut back or eliminate junk foods, sodas, sweets, etc from your daily diet)...eat lots of lean protein, fruits, veggies, complex carbs, and drink lots of water.

Also, get in some exercise 4 or 5 days a week. The more active you are, the more calories you'll burn and the pounds should start to disappear. Just be sure and take your time...do it the healthy way so you lessen the risk of those pounds coming back (and bringing friends).

1)You are a nomal weight for your age! And bisides when you reach five feet it adds 5-10 lbs because of bone and muscle growth.

2) if you really feel like loosing weight just cut out alot of over prossesed food example: chips, and exercise more (I found running to be a quick way to slim down.)

3) Most of the time when people think you fat they would never say it right to your face.

Walking is the best way to loose weight. Walk at least 15 mins twice a day, if you can't get out to walk cuz of bad weather then use stairs & walk up & down them for 15 mins twice a day. Plus watch what you eat.

If you decide to lose weight you can eat,Steamed meats,
steamed veggies,and fruits.Drink 8-8oz. glasses of water
a day.
This makes you feel full and is required for good health.
You need to walk about a mile a day,and swim if you can.
Go to water aerobics.Cut out breads,and anything with sugar.
Have a cup of herbal tea for a snack w/h a bran muffin,
sugar free.Exercise in bed doing leg lifts.Think small portions of food.Eat less more often.Raw veggies are your new snack.no olive oil or butter.Use lime juice for seasoning.

if u think u r fat then just look at me. i am younger then u(12) and i am about 5'4 and i weigh more. i weigh more then like all but one of my friends but the one that weighs more most of her weight is muscle. i am pretty much the fattest of my friends. this little short kid always calls me fat i just dont let it bother me. all i focus on is the people who r my friends and my family. the kid i just turn around and say "wut up shawtee??" u no like shortee but its funny and it gets him to shut up.if u r really concerned and u think ur over weight go c a docter to ask if u really r. and just stay active.and my friend is exactly like u. she is 12 also and she only weighs about 120 pounds and she looks fine. she is about the same height and she always calls herself fat. it is so annoying when she says it but i feel bad for her thinking it. she is super active and she has nothing to worry about and the same for u!

hi,
you are not fat, i know that you think you and that when you look into the mirror you see yourself as a fat person. you have to look pass the mind controlling articles that say that at a certain height and body farm you should weight a particular weight, think about what makes you happy, think about the things you like to do, and think about the things that you like to do with your friends and do them, get active in your life and if you really feel that you need to lose a few pounds join a club.
