If you son has not lost all his baby teeth he can use something called a trainer. It is a piece of plastic like a retainer or something like that and it really wotks i used to have one.

There isn't anything that I know of other than braces that can straighten teeth! $4000 is a lot, but is well worth it in the end! If if makes you feel any better, I just started braces treatment with my ortho, and I just paid over $6000 all out of pocket for insurance reasons! The older your son gets, the longer and more expensive treatment will get! Good luck to you and I hope this helped somewhat! :-)

You might be able to find some good dental insurance to help pay for your son's braces. In response to the person who mentioned invisalign, they are still a form of braces and they are more expensive than the regular metal braces. Many orthodontists offer monthly payment plans through their office with no credit check and you will probably be required to put down a payment and then there are some that offer financing through companies like Care Credit or Capital One. I am 24 and I am getting braces in 2 weeks. I wish my parents could have afforded them when I was younger. Do this for your son, he will appreciate that beautiful smile forever.

Im getting braces soon. But I also need to have 4 teeth pulled before I get them. I have a reduced fee insurance. I turn 18 in a couple months and I have to get metal braces before i turn 19 for them to cost $2000. Invisalines are not covered by any insurance. gold braces, ceramic braces, or any other kind of braces are not either.
