Yeah, my cat doesn't like the stuff either. And he likes dog food and Diritos. All cats have all different tastes.

One of my cats from the past hated catnip too and my other 2 cats love it. Too much catnip can harm them.
Ok first off. catnip, for cats only, is a hallucinogen. it releases an unhealty level of a chemical that would usually kill the cat. but some cats do not have effects from it i.e. older cats or younger kittens.

The ability to enjoy catnip is a genetic trait and only about 50% of cats have it. The active ingredient is nepatalctone, and doesn't affect kittens or other species. It's harmless to the cat. If you want to keep it fresh, freeze it.

first of all, only relax. Cats have been having toddlers at each and all ages for a protracted, long term. only make effective she is healthful by employing giving her excellent high quality nutrients and sparkling water and below no circumstances ought to you permit her exterior now. If she is an extremely small woman (below 7 pounds), she would have one kitten or some fairly small ones. Take her in for a verify-up on your vet as quickly as a threat to alleviate your fears approximately her wellbeing and ask their opinion if she will choose veterinary advice in handing over (Cesarean section). frequently, cats do high quality on their own. As for the human beings who're telling you she will die, nicely, are they vets? only pass to the vet with your little woman and set your techniques relaxed. you need to attend till the kittens are weaned till now you have her spayed. for the reason that it is July, she'll probably have her kittens in September (you probably did no longer say how some distance alongside she is) and it fairly is going to be yet another 3 months after that. only save her indoors and healthful. Wishing you each and every and all the only right.

Yes, that's normal. Some cats (like my own two cats) are not affected by catnip at all... they are indifferent to it. But they love eucalyptus scents.

Have you tried the fresh green home grown variety? My cat nibbles on the green plant, but won't go near the dried stuff.

Not all cats are attracted to catnip. Those that are, will go crazay for it. Others simply don't react to catnip. There are other types of attractive plants for your cat, if it doesn't take to catnip. Try valerian.
