Whoever corrected you, it's called "duct tape". "Duck Tape" is a popular brand of it (kind of like "kleenex" is a brand name for "tissue"). It's called "duct" tape because it's used in home repair and that sort of thing, working on air ducts and the like.
Okay, it's probably one of those things you've always seen and never really known that's what it's called. It's about 2 1/2 inches wide, usually silver-y in color, comes in a big roll. You can buy it just about anywhere, but hardware stores like True Value, Lowes or Home Depot definately have it. Then again, so do Walmart and Target.
You can also get it in different colors now. I went and got a roll of purple and a roll of white last night at Walmart. It cost about 6 dollars all together.

Any hardware store or variety store (such as the .99 store). It use to only come in silver, but now a variety of colors. I gave the diff. colors as stocking stuffers for christmas one yr as a joke. BTW: it is ducT not ducK tape and yes it works on getting rid of warts. Do a search on the net on the correct method.

Actually, it is called "duct tape" it is rather like masking tape, except that it is made of soft plastic and is usually about three inches wide. It comes usually in a silver gray colour, but is now made in a wide variety of colours.
You should be able to get it at any hardware store.

"duck" tape is a brand name. It is called duct tape because it was designed to seal seams in air ducts, which ironically is the one thing it doesn't do well.

duct tape is one the most useful items in the world. you can buy at walmart or hardware or dollar store. just about anywere. It even comes in colors now.

just about any place will have it. wallmart, kmart, any hardware store. It usually comes in silver/gray color.
it is not called "duck" tape, there is a brand of it called duck tape but the correct name is duct tape.
