well it could be like "ser el esclavo de alguien"

The literal translation doesn't make any sense.
I didn't know the meaning of that idiom in English. I found out that it means: to do everything for someone so that they do not have to do anything for themselves.
In that case, I can't think of any equivalent idiom in Spanish. But you could say:
Hacer todo el trabajo por alguien
Atender a alguien en todo
E.g.:
Ãl no mueve un dedo en su casa; su mujer lo atiende en todo = He doesn't do anything (literally, he doesn't move a finger) at home - his wife waits on him hand and foot.

I never heard of that expression but the answer given by
ahcgr32 makes sense.
