Yes. As long as a guy treats you with respect, two years is a great difference at this stage in your life.

If anyone on here tells you that you shouldn't date that person then SCREW THEM.
I was 17 dating a 25 year old, which ISN'T good, but you know what that was my personal choice.
2 years is nothing, I think parents should be proud if their child stays in a 2 year range. Seriousally. And you are going to be 18, so why is that wrong? It's not that far away, at least you are not dating some 40 year old man!
Now think of it this way, when he's 28, you'll be 26. That doesn't sound bad does it? Nope! So You are fine dating him, It's better then him being super old or you super young!!
Hope you two last!!
Congradulations!

Yes, of course its alright! Remember age doesnt always equal maturity. My boyfriend is about 2 and a half years older then I am. I mean Im not saying its alright for an 11 year old to be going out with a 30 year old. But yea thats totally alright. And if anyone says differently, who cares? Its not their problem or life. Its between the girl and the guy.

Nope not if you're going to be 18 in a couple months, you guys are really close in age.
It's only dodgey if the guy is like 20-something or older and the girl is still under age.

I see nothing wrong with 17 and 19.

However, one thing pops into my mind. I would think most 19 year olds would be away at college, and most 17 year olds would still be in highschool. Guessing that this guy (maybe) didn't make it into, or decided not to go to college, I think you could do better.

If I'm wrong about him, go for it.

Sure. Why not?? I used to date older guys all the time when I was younger. Just don't expect for the relationship to last forever. Age gaps when you're that young can 'cause tons of problems. Have fun!

Yep. When I was 17 I met a guy who told me he was 24 and I still dated him, turned out he was really 26. Our relationship didn't turn out good, but that doesn't mean anything - that was just him being an a**. But I don't see a problem with your situation at all.

I think its fine. When I was 19 I married a 23yr old man. Just keep in mind that he might want different things than you do, but I see absolutely nothing wrong with it!! Good Luck

Well, that depends on how mature the both of you are.

My experience tells me that in many cases, older teenage boys like younger girls because there's an opportunity to take advantage.

Without knowing more about the two of you, it's hard to answer.
