I have thick, curly hair and I just want to lighten it up some (especially my roots) because in the winter it seems to get soo dark. I dont know if hair type has any effect but would highlights look good on curly hair? I want it to have an overall lighter color and not just tiny strands..and like I said lightened roots. What do you suggest

I would go with highlites cuz an all-over dye might dry out your hair, and winter usually dries out your hair anyway. I did hightlites too and it turned out great. If you're going for the all-over look, I suggest doing thick highlites. That will give you more color. Good Luck! (I use "frost and design" by loreal paris I think)

I just got highlights this weekend, and I love it. It lightened up my overall hair color and added demension. I told my stylist that I wanted it very natural, and it turned out looking like I had just stayed out in the sun a while. Maybe you could specify "natural" instead of streaked.

I have curly brown hair. I keep mine highlighted. It works great and with it being curly, I don't have to have it done as often.

Go for all over color and not highlights. It would look more natural.

I would highlight your hair. My hair is brown and long and I like to highlight it.... Plus I think if you dye your hair, you ruin hair... Natural hair is pretty hair...

Hi lights sound perfect and make sure your "colorist" appreciates your curls - perhaps weave in a few (colors) of hi lights.
