I'm also attracted to guys who are more "asshole" or mean because in some twisted way it makes you feel like they must care more if they can get that mad or worked up over something you do/did. The thing i noticed though, is its the wrong way to approach it. When they are mean for the most part, it disrespectful and shows how little they actually take your feelings into concideration. I think we also stereotype meaner people, to be more aggressive and better in bed, when its prolly the complete opposite.
Anyways, you deserve to be treated with respect and in a nice manner. However, I think it is also important to have good passionate fight once and awhile, but make sure its not on a daily basis and that you quickly resolve it.

i find that these feelings stem from someone close to you possibly a parent being cold or distant. you become used to it and possibly crave it later in life. i share your stress but i tried hard to stick with a really caring guy and i'm over my addiction but sometimes i get him to play mean. :)
