I'm listening to a program on Israel this morning, and they have quite the diverse mix living there.

Obvious, it's a newer Jewish nation. But all three major faiths have major influence there.

What do some of the Muslims on this board think of this interesting and politically flammable region?

Thanks tons and God Bless each and every one of you!

I'm not an Arab, but I do have a great love for those people and the Jews also have a soft spot in my heart.I love the funny little hats they wear. It's so cute.

I'm very happy that peace has finally come to that part of the world..

Well Kermit the damage is already done, Israel was allow to be formed and I guess they now have the right to exist, we cant very well get rid of a whole nation. There needs to be an existing Palestine state and Israel and America has to respect the sovereignty of it. Israel also needs to be subjected to the same International charters that other countries are subjected to and the US needs to stop defending Israel's every move.Peace is always better that war my brother, that conflict has to end and the direction of the mideast should not be decided by the so called quartet only.

I think that all three of the major faiths have to sit down and hammer out some kind of peace treaty, especially in the Middle East region. Israel, while being a primarily Jewish nation, is also home to other peoples of other religions.

A quick, easy resolution would be to divide Jerusalem into three areas, one for each of the religions. Unfortunately, these areas would each think that the other two would not deserve to be there and another war would most likely be instigated.

In the long run, peace can eventually be reached, but it will take a lot of time and patience.

yes i live here with muslims,if i go down to jerusalem its amazing realy to see all three faiths mingling like normal. but the thing is,as i said,i dont live day in,day out with mixed faith.so i honestly dont know what goes on.ive never heard of christians turning on muslims or jews.
i think the problem goes back to 1948,how can they forget!
i do wish in my heart that there will be peace some day soon for the palestians....
i mean enough is enough, this is not a life for them, this is not how people should bring up their kids.life needs to move forward not backwards, there in plenty of room in the world for all.its such a shame.
i watch t.v.,1 day,2nd and the next, then i will get depressed at seeing familes having their homes blowen away,or a family member
imagine your home being blowen away.imagine!
just sit, think and imagine
and people wonder why Allah strenghtens his natural powers, earthquakes and so on.

peace inshallah

Having been raised roman catholic interior the united statesA. and having grow to be an atheist many some years in the past my perspective is maximum in all probability a procedures distinctive then yours. I settle for that all people is distinctive and individuals have distinctive ideals that are nurtured by way of the ecosystem they encompass themselves with. human beings are commonly greater accepting of distinctive concepts and distinctive cultures so we are greater apt to settle for Israel as a loose and self reliant state then might a theocratic Islamic government that regulations with Sharia regulation. in my view, i've got faith the international may well be a much greater effective place if all of us tried a touch harder to get alongside with one yet another so sure, the Islamic might could desire to recognize Israel as a delightful state. I even have been to Israel, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Afghanistan, Egypt, a number of the *stans and function traveled via all of those international places particularly assembly and attending to renowned the individuals there and it form of feels to me that all of them opt for the comparable ingredient. To be left on my own to stay their lives as they see in nice condition. i in my view have faith that if the Muslim international locations of the international universal Israel as a buddy they may well be a good buddy to those international locations. The Israelis I even have met the two right here interior the US and out of the country all recognize and understand that their united states of america is the holy land for 3 distinctive religions and that they want that they could open their borders and settle for as acquaintances all of those people who desire to bypass to the holy sites interior of their borders. they are all deeply saddened that they won't be able to try this for concern of being attacked by way of individuals who hate them merely because of the fact they exist. The greater effective majority of the individuals I even have met, Christian, Jew and Muslim alike have been heat friendly and delightful human beings. jointly as i do no longer forsee it happening any time quickly i might opt for to confirm peace and cooperation come to that portion of the international.

I will only recognize Israel if the Palestinian government recognizes Israel(which is Hamas now and it was chosed by the palestinians). also Israel should recognize Palestine and stop threatening other countries.

I have nothing against Jews or people from any faith.

Israel is an evil state which is based upon an idealogy which is not much different than nazism. It was established upon racism, ethno-centricism and expelling innocent people(palestinians) from their homes.

Israel doesnt have a right to exist in the middle east and God willing one day the Muslims will be in control of it.

I refuse to recognize the state of Israel. It is Palestine, was Palestine, and will be always be Palestine as far as I am concerned. ALLAH has said in the Qur'an that the Muslims will get Palestine back one day. Insha' ALLAH that day will come soon. Israel has no right to be in existence and I support the Palestinians in what they are doing to end the false occupation there.
