If you think they haven't eaten in a few days, it doesn't necessarily mean that's true. They could just be not eating around you. Are they pooping? Parakeets can't live very long without food, that's why I'm thinking they are eating, you just haven't noticed.
Ask the pet store where you got them what food they were eating before and make sure you offer that one, at least until they get used to their new environment. Offer them some spray millet (long sticks of seeds that they go nuts for). It's not the healthiest option, but you might not have a choice for now. Eating millet is better than eating nothing.

Hi, First you need to make sure that are weaned. They may not be totally ready to eat food on their own yet. Then make sure that you are feeding them the food that they are used to eating. If parakeets are hanging around the bottom of the cage, that's usually an indicator that they are sick. Good luck

While parakeets do drink, they don't drink very much or very often. Just because you don't see them drinking doesn't mean they aren't doing it. As far as eating, they are still trying to adjust to their new surroundings- they should start eating soon if they haven't already. Be sure to check the seed, as birds hull their seeds. You may be seeing empty hulls thinking they are seeds.

I thought the same about my parrot when I brought her home. I gave her pieces of watermelon which she loved so I was confident she had some water in her. It took a while before I noticed her drinking, though mostly she did her drinking at night. Had her 6 months now and she's fine. I'm sure your keets will be fine too.

If they don't eat or drink they will die. Most places guarantee their pets for 14 days. If they are alive and still not eating after 13 days, take them back to the place you purchased them. If they die before 14 days, they should be under warranty.

try covering the cage and giving them space, they may just be stressed in their new location. eventually they will eat. Only other option is to take them back where you got them from.

Possibilities are they are just noy used to their new home yet. Just give them a few days...OR...They don't like the kind of food you are giving them. Good luck!!!!!
