but then someone told me that if you didn't get your cherry popped that you are still a virgin

I had sex before but I haven't heard of this

Well if u did it all ready then they pop your cherry already. But yeah it means that if they haven't then u stiil a virgin.

Just because you haven't had your cherry popped by sex, doesn't mean anything. If you use tampons, or play sports or are real active (outside of the bedroom), all of these could "pop your cherry" without you knowing it. I'm still a virgin, but because of all the sports that I play, my cherry was popped. (The doctor told me that). Sometimes women don't even bleed during sex. I wouldn't worry about it too much, so don't worry. And if you are worried, just see a doctor, and they can give you additional information.

It refers to some women bleeding when they have sex for the first time. I don't know for sure if every woman experiences this. I've always thought that having sex for the first time period was the meaning of getting the "cherry popped".

A woman's vulva ( outside genital organ) is partially covered by a membrane called a hymen. It is just like the tissue around the vaginal opening. When you have sex for the first time, that membrane is torn. It can cause some bleeding. That's called "popping your cherry".
