I have come to realize that I do not know how to have a relationship with people?

and I really don't know how to have a boyfriend relationship either.
I have had several and 2 serious ones. They are over and I dont know how to be.
Anyone have good advice or any good books to read? I have friends and family but I am not close with people at all. I normally think of only me. I see this has hurt me.

Well it sounds like you want a relationship with people and it hurts you to not have one because you have a care free attitude. There is nothing wrong with that, its part of who you are, maybe you dont trust people so easily. But i would try to open up more to people and let them into your life. You pick and choose who you want in your life and who you are comfortable around. so try to give people a chance by letting them be around you and call them more socialize go out to eat and dinners, build friendships like how you do with your family

There is no manual on how to make friends or start a relationship. It's something you have to learn through trial & error. Life is not perfect you have to take the good with the bad. try not to run yourself down, there will always be someone who loves you for who you are. You can't pretend to be something your not in order to have a realtionship, would you want someone to be "fake" & then find out after the fact?
I realize that sounds harsh, but from personal experience just be yourself, because that's who you are.

you need to be you that's all you need to know... don't cheat i was told by someone special to me that it means you don't care relationships will be hard but you get through it if you find the right person once you see love you know it's right and you'll be that much better of a person one more thing you will see that's amazing
