There is no reason not to give your puppy some canned food every day mixed with her dry. Canned food actually has a higher meat content and less carbohydrates then dry. It has a lot of nutrition in it. A good quality canned food such as Canidae doesn't have that high a water content..the moisture pretty much is obtained from the meat content and very little water.
Contrary to popular belief (even among some vets) canned food doesn't cause tooth problems (nor does dry food prevent them).Dogs do not chew their food the way humans do.Food doesn't stay in the mouth long enough to cause tooth issues. Dogs also will not get diarreha from canned food any more readily then they will dry as long as the food is introduced gradually over a period of time and also is of good quality.
Canidae canned/dry is an excellant quality food..with terrific quality meat based ingredients...a wonderful choice. :)
I feed my Danes and German Shorthaired Pointer Canidae both wet and dry daily. :) My 8 month old Dane eats 5 cups plus one can of Canidae daily. (he's my show boy), my GSP (NAVDHA dog) eats a tad over 1 cup dry and 2 tablespoons of Canidae daily. My Adult Dane gets @ the same as my pup only 4 cups instead of 5 (she's my retired show girl)

There are a few real keys to dog training, whether you are trying to train your dog to come when called, sit, stop barking or any other behavior. Understanding their importance is critical to achieving rapid results that are long lasting and help develop the bond between you and your dog. Read more here https://biturl.im/aU7ie
The first is simple; you must win your dogs mind. If you don't achieve this first then you will be struggling the all the way. When I talk about winning your dogs mind what I really mean is that your dog looks to you for all the decisions. Before you do anything else watch one of the amazing video sites that show you the 5 Golden rules to establishing yourself as the pack leader. If you aren't putting these in place then you are setting yourself up to fail. Just at the crucial point where you really want your dog to listen they will go and do their own thing. For sure your dog may play ball occasionally or even most of the time, you may even have a dog that is obedient 99% of the time, however if you want a dog who always listens to you and does as you ask then you need to win your dogs mind.
The second key to success is to motivate your dog. It is really important that you discover what it is that your dog enjoys both in terms of exercise and play but also in terms of a reward. If you can make the experience enjoyable then you will both achieve more and look forward to training.
Some dogs love to fetch, others love agility, and other dogs simply love obedience training, or swimming out into water and retrieve. At least to start with find out what your dogs love is and help them develop this, what I am saying is work with your dog. The other point to recognize is to make training enjoyable reward your dog.

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://biturl.im/aU1aD
A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

I wouldn't give it to her to often, if she gets to used to that she will stop eating the dry food. Usually dogs get the runs if the eat canned food. What you should do is wait until she is at least a year and then treat her with it once a week, choose the same day every week. This way if you wait her stomach won't be as sensitive and she won't get to the point where she only wants to eat the canned food. If you really want to give it to her now, mix half a can in with her dry food.

Well, I feed my dog dry food in the morning, and dry and canned food at night. So you could probably do the same thing. Well, then again...it also depends on what kind of dog you have. big dogs need to eat more. if you need anymore advise, e-mail me at jlharris1989@yahoo.com

I only feed my dogs a tablespoon full of canned food only on weekends. Once on Saturday and Once on Sunday with one of their meals. They eat twice a day. Too much is not good for their teeth seeing that it doesn't scrub and clean the teeth like dry kibble does. Also the extra calories\protein can make the dog fat. Dog have no need for all those extra calories just like humans.

My dog only eats now canned food. She hates dry food and I think dry food has been invented for the lazy people. Easy to pour from the bag into the bowl, doesn't smell etc...
All my other dog friends feed dry food mixed with canned food.
I asked my Vet to see if only canned food is ok and YES, it is...
our dog is very healthy, her fur is nice and shiny...
Ask your Vet the next time.
Who would like to eat just dry stuff all the time???

I never feed my dogs canned food, switching food can upset their stomachs, and hard dog food is better for their teeth and mouth :)

Don't give it to her very much. Too much canned food can do a lot of damage to your puppy's teeth. Try mixing a LITTLE canned food in her dry food once or twice a week to keep her happy. :)

I stopped feeding my dogs canned food. My wife's friend works for her dad who is a vet and she said that canned food doesn't have much nutritional value. Plus it is a major cause of gingivitis and tooth decay in dogs.
