a collection of engineering pupils from Purdue college recorded that their licking gadget, modeled after a human tongue, took an universal of 364 licks to get to the middle of a Tootsie Pop. They tried a similar licking try on 20 volunteers and found that the universal licks to the middle have been 252 licks.

Actually it's... lick (one), lick (two) then he bites it and says three.
it's about 300 and some. Someone i went to high school with actually did it.
