my problem is with some muslims and how they think.
some muslims think that islam and muslims should live how the prophet muhammed (pbuh) lived during his time. yes, all of us muslims believe that that period was the best in islamic history. that's why some muslims wanna go back to it.
but that shouldn't mean that we should turn back the clock and live how they used to. i mean it's two totally different worlds.
God revealed an eternal message in islam and not just something for then. the rules of islam are compatible with today's world. but some muslims refuse to blv so. i don't know maybe they're afraid that changing would mean changing what we blv in.
like the other religions who changed their principles and laws just to fit in with current times. i'm not talkin about that. i'm talking about keeping the sunnah and qur'an but realising that women can drive and the world won't come to an end. that just because i read a bible doesn't mean i'm converting. that just teaching children the qur'an isn't a sound education. yes it's great and should be incorporated into their syllabus but it shouldn't be the only thing. i mean even islam tells us to go in search of knowledge.

A lot of the time at my church, they try and force religion on other people. Like sometimes, I bring my friends to just have a good time, and the leaders start talking about hell and damnation, how the people who aren't of that particular religion are going to hell, etc. This doesn't win my religion points in my friends' book. So then they don't want to come back. I don't like that. I wish they wouldn't do that at my church. Religion is something that some people just don't have, and they really don't like it when others force it one them. The way they should do it is just invite people to come, not make them feel damned for not going.
Just my thoughts. :)

As a Muslim, I agree with Adia Arek. Islam is getting a bad image today because of the Middle East situation. When trying to tell people about Islam, I often get the response, "But I heard this from [insert name]." To which I ask, "Is [insert name] a Muslim?"
99% of the time, that person they heard from is not a Muslim. If you want to find the truth about something, you should ask someone who is a part of it.
Example: I wouldn't ask a mailman about how to fix my plumbing or ask a man from Italy where the best Sushi place is in Japan.

I guess I don't know, wicca is very broad, the way I practice isn't the same as another wiccan might.
I chose this religion BECAUSE I felt open, and at peace.
There are fanatics in every religion, And Wicca is no acception, There are wiccans that have denounced me because I have held onto my christian beliefs.
They seem to forget that we go by live and let live.

Te lack of sincerity with the truth so that many will come and be saved Money and power seems to overrule those efforts. We in the coc teach the love of Christ but have segregated churches and don't seem to care

When congregations build up lavish churches decorated with opulence and exuding a sense of wealth. God did not mean for us to build up earthly treasures but to build up his kingdom. We are commissioned to minister to the world and serve our brothers and sisters. Jesus taught that we should serve others and went so far as to wash the feet of his disciples.
I especially have trouble with the Catholic Church which surrounds itself with luxury while the poor suffer. Those who serve the Lord in such a way should live in a humble way and give what they can to the poor and needy. What treasures they have here on earth shall soon pass, but their good works shall build up a treasure in the kingdom of God.

It's image.
My religion is Islam, but the current image it has right now is rather an annoyance, especially with all the ignorance around.

I rue the fact that Buddhism actively discourages promoting itself. I think it has a lot to offer people that conventional religions can't.
